Lumiere of PVA resembles his legendary sire, Pperuvian Torbio, so closely that the two are difficult to differentiate if you just look casually at pictures of them both. Lumiere has the advantage of having a champion and finely bred dam, Admiral's First Light, the full sister to Admiral's Commandor who is producing champions every year.

Lumiere was recently evaluated by fleece and SHIP judge Cheryl Gehly. He received very high marks for density, luster and fineness. Lumiere has also had a biopsy done by Dr Norm Evans:

"Lumiere of PVA was biopsied as a suri male. His ARI# is 30831858. His 15X scan shows fiber clusters that are very uniform in size, shape and placement within his connective tissue. His density was 60 follicles SQ MM of skin on a 10 MM punch that requires no adjustment due to tissue shrink.

His S/P ratio from 25 fiber clusters averages 9.8 to 1. Note on the 250X scan that only 20 % of his secondary fibers are medullated as shown by the red spots in the center of the fibers. This low level of fiber medullation should result in excellent handle.

He shows level 3 of 4 gland structure which should relate to excellent luster. One hundred secondary fibers averaged 21.3 microns while 50 primary fibers averaged 27.4 microns. This equates to a micron variation of 6.1 microns."

After owning Torbio for the last few years of his life, I am thrilled to have Lumiere as a member of the Windy Hill herdsire stable. We have bred almost 15
females to him in the summer of 2017, and are anticipating stunning results. Drop by this summer to see his newest offspring!
